So I get that employees working 30+ hours, and where there are 50+ employees, have to be offered health insurance, lest the company get a fine, but I'm not sure how that will work out at my job. There are around 20 people at my job, and I average 26-36 hours a week. I have health insurance through my parents, and am a part-time employee. One of my colleagues said our boss will cut hours in January due to the ACA, and will make it so part-time employees won't get 30+ hours. There are 9 full-time employees, and the rest are part-time, but the company depends on part-time employees a lot-most of us get almost 40 hours covering for people, coming in early/staying late, etc. Could someone explain how this will affect me and other part-time employees? I've just recently bought my first car which will be shared with a parent, and it is one of my parents is the policy holder, I am an additional driver who currently holds a provisional license. Canceled Car Insurance?

So, I found out today, that State Farm canceled my car insurance. My coverage was good through Feb. 1st. My billing date is also Feb. 1st, but they usually charge me a day or two late. They charged me today for my renter's insurance, which is how I found out that I have no car insurance. State Farm never informed me that they were canceling my policy. The day I got my car, I was got a ticket for not having insurance in NJ.I had insurance but paper had not come in the mail yet. I went to court and it was lowered to failure to show insurance and I paid like $185. How will this effect my points and and my insurance rates. Should I reopen my case and plea not guilty or see if I could get it dismissed and would I have to get a lawyer for that? Is it worth the money? This is my first ticket ever.
